  • Multifunctional zone programme by König + Neurath combines table and floor lamps by idee.design.licht.
  • NET.WORK.PLACE creates ergonomically attractive, high-performance working environments

Limbach-Oberfrohna, Febuary 7, 2011 – The German lighting manufacturer idee.design.licht. enjoys an excellent reputation among architects, planners, designers and the trade – not only for its sophisticated lighting fixtures and systems but especially for its outstanding ability to create tailored lighting solutions. This led to the alliance between idee.design.licht. and König + Neurath AG, one of the leading German manufacturers of office furniture: For NET.WORK.PLACE, the current multifunctional zone programme of König + Neurath which will be launched in April, idee.design.licht. has developed and manufactured a special lighting fixture. It is designed to enhance efficiency and well-being in office environments. Table and floor lamps are integrated parts of this novel office and partitioning furniture programme.

With NET.WORK.PLACE König + Neurath is setting new standards for multifunctional office furniture: the complex and highly efficient structures of modern cities inspired its sophisticated design. NET.WORK.PLACE comprises working lounges, working bistros, meeting points and creative areas and adds value, well-being and efficiency to existing office space: For example, it allows to turn unpopular central areas of an office floor into attractive “market places” that enhance internal communication. Its lighting, coherent colour schemes and ergonomic seating concepts are designed to create office environments that improve well-being, inspiration and productivity of employees. The puristic, upholstered seating modules are highlighted by special floor and table luminaries, developed and manufactured by idee.design.licht.

Meticulous quality is a value shared by both companies: Due to its fully integrated manufacturing – from the first design scribble across all production phases – idee.design.licht. provides a maximum of flexibility to meet individual customer requirements. State-of-the-art 3D programmes simulate the lighting effect of every single lighting fixture and comprehensive systems; a team of creative specialists works both manually and with the help of CNC-controlled machines to create models, individual items, small and big batch productions precisely according to customer requirements. The team is complemented by an in-house illustrator, who supports creative brainstorming and project meetings by visualising verbal descriptions and ideas in “real time” by drafting them on paper.

The co-operation with such a renowned partner like König + Neurath is a milestone within the corporate development of idee.design.licht.: Since the early nineties – and since 2005 under the name of idee.design.licht. – the Saxon company develops, manufactures and distributes lighting solutions for offices and objects as well as private environments. In the recent years, the company’s specific ability to realise individual lighting solutions, one-offs and customer designs in short time has become a significant economic factor for the lighting factory.
